Over a four-year engagement, HVE deployed RTSE for a division of a large, privately owned national distribution operation — giving their field sales and support team real-time mobile access to inventory, quoting, and order entry across a JD Edwards ERP environment.
The solution enhanced and extended their existing distribution infrastructure without any changes to the legacy environment. A shopping cart capability was added to the real-time inventory screens, allowing sales professionals to build orders during live customer conversations — converting directly to quotes or sales orders that integrated seamlessly with the existing system for processing.
A coordination layer was also implemented to manage and track order discussions between sales representatives, managers, support personnel, and senior management — streamlining procedures and eliminating the friction of critical communications getting lost in email and text threads.
